Vote for our idea: Help us To create a CD of songs with the voices of local youths for the rights to childhood

Children's Care international (CCI) needs your help. We submitted a project to the Pepsi foundation, and we could win a 10 000$ grant for the creation of a CD for and by children. This grant will also allow us to give lectures on children's rights, in Quebec's primary schools and high schools.

In partnership with CCI, the students of l'école Tourterelle in Brossard are now in rehearsal to be ready to record 20 songs on the theme of childhood. Their CD project spreads over all the school year, and involves many volunteers (parents, teachers and artists). All children of the school participate in the musical project, their awareness about cultural diversity, poverty, child exploitation and children's rights being increased. half of the profits from the CD sale will go to CCI, in order to support the education of children in India, freed from labour exploitation and supported bu CCI since 2003. The Pepsi Refresh Project grant will help them cover the expensesrelated to the creation of the disc, which will become a public awareness tool to mobilize other students at the occasion of lectures by CCI in schools of the province.

On the page of our idea, you will find a brief description of the project, pictures and a video: students of the group B (children of 7 to 9 years old) in rehearsal. Let them explain their project to you, in a simple and clever way!

We invite you to vote ONE TIME A DAY, FROM JANUARY THE 4TH TO FEBRUARY THE 28TH. Winners will be those with the most votes from the public. During this period of time, you can save our page in your bookmarks, to find it easily each day.

We need your help! It is free and there is no commitment needed. Thanks for your support!
